• Artists and Authors Night

The Artists and Authors event will have three types of art stations situated throughout the school: 1) informational, 2) gallery style to display the work of students, teachers, and parents and 3) interactive to provide students and parents the opportunity to engage with various artistic media in a fun and spontaneous way. We will also offer a “Create Your Own” ice cream sundae bar.

  • OBOB Tournament Night!

Monday, February 10th 5:30 PM, McKinley Cafeteria

Six teams will battle to decide who will represent McKinley at the regional tournament!  We are playing a double elimination tournament, so all teams have at least two battles.

Pizza will be provided.  If you are competing please don’t arrive late — if your battle has begun, you will not be allowed to join your team until the next battle!  You are encouraged to arrive early to meet up with your team and make any last minute decisions, plans, quizzing, high fives, etc.

Spectators are welcome, but must remain silent and have cell phones turned off so as to not disturb contestants during the battles.  All teams and guests are expected to exercise excellent sportsmanship habits and be respectful of other teams.

If you have questions or are interested in helping with this event, please see our Signup Genius at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050A45AEAE2AA2FD0-battle or contact Becky Tei 503-407-0882 (text preferred) or email laidiebug@gmail.com

  • Photos!

McKinley wants your event photos! If you have taken photos you would like to share, you can now email them to McKinleyPix@gmail.com. Once they are approved by McKinley staff, you may see your photo here or on the McKinley Facebook page.

When sending us your photos, it is helpful if you include the event and the date when they were taken. If you know the names of the kids in the photos, or if they are your own children, that is helpful for us, too. We will not use the names of students when we post the photos.
